More than 500 community members, executives, business leaders, and physicians gathered at the Sheraton RTP in Research Triangle Park on Feb. 7, 2026, to celebrate the 15th Annual Gala of the NCIAP People’s Medical Care. The milestone event highlighted the organization’s growing impact and reaffirmed a shared commitment to expanding affordable healthcare access across North Carolina.

The Gala serves not only as a celebration of NCIAP’s achievements but also as a critical fundraising initiative that supports the organization’s mission of providing accessible medical care to uninsured and underinsured individuals throughout the state.

Inspiring Remarks from State Leadership

The evening’s Chief Guest, North Carolina State Senator Jay Chaudhuri, praised NCIAP’s work in helping provide affordable medical care to residents across the state.

During his remarks, Senator Chaudhuri also reflected on the remarkable progress of the Indian American community over the past several decades. “In just fifty years, we’ve produced CEOs, doctors, deans of universities, non-profit leaders, actors, and even elected officials,” he stated.

Entertainment and Celebration

Guests enjoyed a lively evening of celebration, networking, and entertainment. The event featured a performance by SaReGaMaPa finalist Neha Varma, whose music energized the room and drew many attendees to the dance floor.

The Gala brought together a diverse cross-section of the community, including leaders from major corporations, financial institutions, medical establishments, and civic organizations committed to advancing health equity and community reinvestment.

15 Years of Affordable, Compassionate Care

Founded in 2011, NCIAP People’s Medical Care was created to address a growing need for accessible healthcare among individuals who lack insurance or cannot afford traditional medical systems. Our nonprofit operates using a transparent direct-pay model, offering high-quality primary and specialty care with most visits starting at just $55.

Our services include:

  • Chronic disease management
  • Women’s health
  • Preventive screenings
  • Respiratory care
  • Gastrointestinal care
  • Musculoskeletal treatment
  • On-site laboratory testing

Over the past 15 years, NCIAP has facilitated more than 60,000 patient visits through its Raleigh clinic. By offering reliable, affordable care, we have helped reduce reliance on emergency rooms and urgent care facilities while ensuring patients receive consistent and compassionate treatment.

Looking to the Future

The generosity of NCIAP’s volunteers, supporters, and donors makes it possible for us to deliver vital care to patients across North Carolina. Contributions from our annual Galas help close the funding gap that enables NCIAP to serve more than 5,000 uninsured and underinsured adults each year. Every $500 donated allows us to provide care for 10 additional patients.

Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s Gala. We deeply appreciate your support, as we couldn’t do this without you. If you missed it, we encourage you to join us for next year’s Gala!
