
Dr Bal Krishan Agarwal MD
Dr Bal Krishan Agarwal was born and raised in Bikaner,( Rajasthan) India. He did his MBBS (1963) and MD (1966) from SMS Medical College Jaipur(Raj.) India. Dr Agarwal is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular diseases. He is a Fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP) and American College of Cardiology.(FACC).
Dr Agarwal practiced Interventional Cardiology from 1974 to 2005 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center Salisbury Maryland, then from 2005 to 2012 as an interventional Cardiologist VA Medical Center Asheville NC and 2013-2014 at Nellis Air Force Hospital LasVegas. He moved to Raleigh NC in 2017 after retirement.
Dr Agarwal has been working as a volunteer at NCIAP People’s Medical Care since 2018 and he is also one of the the Board of the Directors at NCIAP.

Dr Renuka Kandula MD
Dr Renuka Kandula did her medical degree from Medical school from Osmania medical college Hyderabad, India. She is board certified in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr Kandula retired in 2023 from Holzer Health System,Gallipolis, Ohio after practicing in primary care Internal medicine and Hospital medicine for 25 years and she has been volunteering at NCIAP since October 2023.
Dr Pradeep Kandula MD
Dr. Pradeep Kandula did his medical degree from Medical school from Osmania Medical College, India. He is board certified in pediatric and Adolescent Medicine from American Board of Pediatrics. Dr Kandula retired after 25 years of practice at Holzer health System, Gallipolis , Ohio and he has been volunteering at NCIAP Apex since October 2023
Marlyn C. Teague MSN, NP-C
I have been a Nurse Practitioner for the past 20 years providing primary care. I attained my Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. My special interests include management of older adults, management of chronic diseases as well as preventative health focusing on each patient’s unique needs and situation. I enjoy taking care of a wide diversity of patients. It is especially rewarding to develop lasting relationships with patients and their families.
Amy Cate, FNP
Ms. Amy Cate earned her family nurse practitioner in 2002 and has worked in primary care and geriatric medicine since graduating. Prior to obtaining her FNP, Ms. Cate worked as a nurse in inpatient and home health settings. She currently also works as an adjunct clinical instructor in the practical nursing department of ECPI. In her spare time, she volunteers for local animal rescues.
Sanjay Patel, MD, MSc
Dr Sanjay Patel is a board-certified family physician with extensive experience in providing comprehensive care to patients. His practice emphasizes preventive health, chronic disease management, and creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Dr Patel earned his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1982 and completed residency in Family Medicine at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. As a family physician, he takes pride in caring for the whole person, not just addressing specific concerns. This holistic approach allows him to build strong, lasting relationships with his patients and empower them to take an active role in their health and well-being.
In his free time, Dr Patel enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling with his wife, cherishing the opportunities to explore new places and create lasting memories together.
