Anju is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of North Carolina. She is a graduate of UNC, Chapel Hill, and obtained a degree in Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from there. Prior to that, Anju’s background was in Psychology from the University of Bombay. She has over 10 years of experience in the field of Adult Mental Health. Currently, she is working as a Clinical Director for a local mental health agency in Raleigh, NC. Anju also serves as the Field Advisor and Supervisor for Master’s level Interns at UNC/CH School of Social Work.

Anju is very passionate about social issues, and serves on several Boards and work committees. She is also very involved in her community. Her hobbies are reading, dancing, business networking and working on social issues with a cause. Anju is married to Micky Verma, an IT Professional and they live in Raleigh with their two lovely daughters, Roshni & Nikita. Anju speaks several different Indian languages such as Hindi, Sindhi, Marathi and Gujarati.
